This blog has certain specific aims. One is that it should help the reader to be more peaceful and happier in life.
My own endeavour has been to achieve that for a
very long period of time, say from the seventies onwards. All the efforts were
directed at that goal relentlessly.
One of the outcomes was publishing five books related to this area, which were put under the following five heads, deliberately.
The result was satisfying indeed. Hence these attempts in sharing with other… with the hope that the contents may be of use to someone, sometime, somewhere.
Walking the talk is a modern term for
practicing what is being preached. So having taken a position with these five
books, I strived to walk the talk…. and the results have been satisfactory…. Quite
satisfactory.
I had
spent a long time in taking classes to bankers in general and management students
in particular. One outcome was the book- Nurturing Excellence, which was
addressed to the MBA students, when it was penned in 2006.
Where is
excellence seen in the world today or in the country itself? We will not go
into specificities for obvious reasons.
Being a faculty, I felt, then and even now, focus
on Excellence is inadequate. Similarly, stress on knowledge is also lax. Even
in Vedanta, the final saying is- Jnanad
eva tu Kaivalyam…. Knowledge alone will give liberation.
Thinking on the above lines will be profitable in all walks and stages of life. Don’t you think?
Be happy. Be safe.
