Chasing Success is the root aim of human beings that needs no reiteration. However, it is relevant to probe into the life and times of people who had touched zeniths of success in their chosen fields.
One person who captured the imagination of people for
decades was the legendary first superstar, Late Rajesh Khanna, who from an
ordinary background, achieved extraordinary heights of fame /riches/recognition,
then had exceptional fall from adulations and eventually a lonely/sad end.
His life many will not be able to reach or even dream. Hence,
many would have been jealous of him when he was in the zenith of success.
But how many would be willing to step into his shoes-empathize-
with him. Many may not be forth coming. Because for the success he achieved,
the bitter failures also he tasted abundantly. While it is easy to carry success,
it is exceptionally painful to face setbacks, failures, especially for one who
was on the pinnacle.
But, at least in pubic, he took a stoic view and often recited the following from the film, Daag in which he delivered the same dialogue--
This is the stark reality with anyone’s life -emperor or anyone. Realizing this truth will help anyone to be peaceful. Spiritual teachings aim at that. With right spiritual orientation, one will not feel lonely, even when alone…. That is what the spiritualism gives/promises.
Like rainbows, the life’s events change rapidly- should
one feel happy or sad is a personal choice one makes/takes. One who wants to
enjoy, must be also prepared/willing to suffer. But one who takes a middle path-
as advocated in Hinduism / Buddhism very prominently will get solace in all conditions of
life.
Be happy. Be safe.
