Man/woman all along thinks that he/she is indispensable and in his/her absence the world will not go on….
The world may be his/her home, office, business, party, team, family etc. but we all know from others life so far that there is no indispensable person on earth.
It is like the Sea, how
many ships went down over the centuries. Some estimates put the number at
300,000. The Sea remains the
same.
Billions came and went
nothing happened to the world. It continues its journey as before. Like a flood
in the river, the normalcy returns after hours or days. But the river flows as
before.
Ditto with human life. But he/she doesn’t
understand when they are around. You can see that when someone is holding a
position. The poor fellow never realizes that many have occupied the position
and will occupy later too.
In the sixties, Indians asked the question- After Nehru
who?. This was heard in seventies also- After Indira , who?
(Fortunately ,such
questions are not heard today, as there is a queue of people waiting to become
PM of the country! Supply now far exceeds demand!)
Extant knowledge will
give a good perspective as given in the poem- The Indispensable Man by Saxon White Kessinger Which ends as-
“Be proud of
yourself but remember
There’s no indispensable man”. The sooner such a
realization comes, the better for all.
But that will be hoping for too much by
the conduct of many on this good earth down the millennia.
Be happy. Be safe.

I went through your latest blog. Nothing on the earth is indispensable. But yet everyone lives on the hope of his own indispensibility. It is an irony. Beautiful blog.
ReplyDeleteI would also be looking into your other blogs. Keep doing this worthwhile job. It helps recuperation of a tired body and soul. Regards.
