Day24 . Reflection -4

Man by nature takes defeats and failure to his heart very fast. He reflects, thinks, ruminates on such aspects seriously and sometime take actions that are baffling.

 The number of people committing suicides per year in our country is reported to be around 1.5 Lac. What a waste of human resource and talent.

 It is for such people the following classic poem gives a lasting hope. In the spiritual field too, success rate is miniscule.

 Lord Krishan states in Bhagavad Gita that in millions probably one or two may realize him! So, the probability of failure looms quite large.

 Yet, one must strive and never lose hope, as very beautifully stated in the poem- don’t quit…. Ever.

When things go wrong as they sometimes will,
When the road you're trudging seems all up hill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit,
Rest if you must, but don't you quit.
Life is strange with its twists and turns
As every one of us sometimes learns
And many a failure comes about
When he might have won had he stuck it out;
Don't give up though the pace seems slow—
You may succeed with another blow
.
Success is failure turned inside out—
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt,
And you never can tell just how close you are,
It may be near when it seems so far;
So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit—
It's when things seem worst that you must not quit.

(John Greenleaf Whittier)

One who quit stands to lose. It is therefore in one’s own interest to hold on, when the stakes are loaded against him /her.

 With faith, determination self-belief and God's grace one can overcome all hurdles as shown by many in life- present and past.

Be happy. Be Safe.
