Man’s search for Meaning-25

 I saw a clip-on Indian culture, where an old woman was seen  in an international flight to Hyderabad. The airhostess, a foreign lady attends to her with utmost case and compassion… this touched the old woman very much.

·       While getting down, she was invited to her son’s house by the traveller.

·       Despite difficulties, the foreign lady/air hostess visits at the address given. she was giving a very pleasant and grand treatments by her son and family… the air hostess was touched…

The clip ends where the foreign woman was telling some passenger in a flight that she has been flying on the Indian route for nearly two years and each time she thinks, she discovers more and falls in love with the country…

 Being an Indian and familiar with our culture there is no surprise in the whole episode… but that is not the case with foreigners who see us at close quarters…they are wonderstruck by our hospitality, affability, and handling of guests etc.…. we are all party to such good happenings at one time or other…

·       that is the true Hindu Culture handed to us from time immemorial.

           Aathiti Devo Bhava is taught from nursery…

·       hence it sinks into the Indian psyche wherever they are… almost…. Exceptions will be there; we are now referring to the larger picture.

·       Needless to add , one should be extra cautious  while extending hospitality in the current world of deceit at every turn…..

Our forefathers have bestowed us with nuggets of wisdom, that we should strive to uphold… not fall for the false culture that is being imposed over centuries in the past and now imported due to rampant globalization. We must stick to basics and roots…. Their- in lies our future and happiness.
