 Jagrata... Jagrata

The first two stanzas  covered the relationship in the world and also the pain associated with living… here Acharya talks about our internal enemies… called Shad Vairies…

कामक्ष्च क्रोधक्ष्च लोभक्ष्च

 देहे तिष्ठन्ति तस्कराः।

ज्ञनरत्नापहाराय

तस्मात् जाग्रत जाग्रत॥-3

Kama (desires), Krodha (Anger), Lobha (Greed) are referred to as  robbers  in this body  stealing  the "Jnana" jewel – Viveka- with in us. So be alert,, alert… he cautions.

The Shad vairies are Kama, Krodha, Lobha, Moha,Mada, Matsara…. One can add… ego- ahamkara, ershya- jealousy also to the list…

These affects all beings… through out the life… result one’s Viveka or Discrimination is carried away… like boat by wind in the high Sea…

So let us be wary of them.. so the Acharya exhorts..

Let us meditate on them… again and again..
