Day -219

IF I COULD TELL YOU JUST ONE THING

by Richard Reed

It is often desirable to listen to “successful” people about their views on life  and work such that one will be guided suitably.

Some of the remarkable people share their most valuable pieces of wisdom in this book. From advice on work and relationships, to creativity, spirituality and survival, there are words  that will comfort, motivate and inspire.

In this regard,  following words from Sir Richard Branson, CEO, Virgin Airlines about the book and the life itself are very informative and relevant

-“People talk about work and play as if they are separate things, with one being there to compensate for the other, but all of it is life, all of it is precious. Don’t waste any of it doing something you don’t want to do. And do all of it with the people you love. My golden rule in life is to have fun. Life’s too short to waste your time doing things that don’t light your fire. Do what you enjoy, and enjoy what you do……. We spend roughly 80 per cent of our lives at work, so it's important that we find jobs that we love…… I was thrilled to see my advice featured in Richard’s new book: If I could tell you just one thing.... If you’re looking for inspiration or useful life lessons I recommend you pick up a copy.”

  • Pursing the book helps to gather  pearls of wisdom which can be of use to the reader at one time or other.
  • All the suggestions  are on achieving excellence in chosen fields and the quotes given at the end of each chapter are indeed captivating and inspiring.
  • Many a time a word, a quote or a poem etc.  completely and dramatically changes the future of a person.
  • One  quote in the book states-“ Never forget what bestirs you”. That in short sums up the use and potentiality of the book to the reader.
