GRACE OF THE GOD

Mind wanders and wanders
Since childhood, during  youth
In the middle age and even when old,
It Wanders and wanders till the very end.1

Where is one heading?
What indeed is the goal?
Who can show the way?
And what indeed is the way?2

Different thoughts, words and wisdom
Heard from roof top everyday,
Varieties of interpretations and digressions
Hearing those, mind wanders and wanders.3

Meditations and methods galore
Each showing a new way  to  peace and joy
Words differ, approach differs, path differs
Many a time confusing the unwary.4

Wandering  of mind will  cease
Only  and only on  realizing the Truth
Or the Hollowness of the here and now
And the sheer Futility of running around.5

By seeing the craze  of others
For fame, pelf,  and power
Thirst for publicity, awards et al;
Unending quest to conquer the world.6
 

Mad rush  to reach nowhere
Craze for  all ephemeral things
One will surely realize,
That the rat race has no end.7    

If one can stand back at that time 
And enjoy the ride as it is
Then  understand  for sure
Grace of God is on you.8 

The eternal truth is for  us to savour
But that will need  the Grace of God
To know Him and realize Him
Efforts alone won’t suffice.9

To See the ocean in a drop  of water
And  to know the drop is indeed the Sea,
Vision of the whole is needed
 which comes only  with  God’s grace.10

One is grateful for His Grace
But for which all will be in the race
Wandering stops – mind at rest
Contented ,blissful and nothing to trouble.11
                                                      Peace at hand – peace within and without
                                                         That is when the fresh wandering starts
                                                         Like the wind over the meadows
                                                        Mist over the mountains.12

Wandering will go on till the end
But, surely  Futile wanderings  will cease.
All these are  merely knowledge now
Let us strive  hard to realize them soon.13

 Once the God’s grace is on us 
 Then the rest is easy, so  the wise says
Once Grace is with us, nothing can trouble
Let us pray for His grace-Now and Forever.14
