Can one really achieve happiness-whatever may be one’s
concept ? That is the quest
for many- mostly philosophers.
First of all ,do we really
want happiness?
If yes, then are we striving in that direction?
Look at systems at work, where cases linger for decades,
even half and full centuries.
Are we striving for happiness? Where , when, who and for whom… very pertinent questions.
In a book -On the Shortness of Life by Seneca,
this question was raised. Ask any person who is, say, above 60 years or so.
Many of them will have lot of regrets stating that the time went too fast and
they could not do many things they wanted to do. By now regretting, the time is
not going to come back. One quote read- “Running water does not flow back, so is life. Be
happy.”
So people feel when the
end comes that they have not fully enjoyed, still hankers for more…
These are the issues to be pondered, before it is too late.
Isn’t it?
Be happy. Be safe.
