The Blind men and the Elephant poem reminds of a story from the Keno Upanishad.
Once the Gods were gloating on their victory over Asuras
and feeling invincible.
At that moment a Yaksha- adorable being- appeared before
them.
Gods' present were
inquisitive to know about the Yaksha.
First ,the God of Fire went near the Yaksha.
Then the Yaksha inquired about the power of Fire, who told that he can burn down anything—anything at all.
For this, the Yaksha put a small blade of grass before
the God of Fire and asked him to burn it.
But he failed to do so.
Then the God of Air, and God of Water also tried and failed in their respective missions. All the Gods felt ashamed and realized that they are all limited in their power and there is someone higher than them and about whom they are totally ignorant
.
Then they approach the Yaksha to clear their doubts.
The answer of the Yakhsa can be found on the net by the Jingnasus.
So, all the self appointed powerful people should recall such stories, and be humble in their limited achievements, which are truly transitory and meagre in comparison.
They should recall the story of Ozymandias…
time and again.
Shouldn’t they?
Be happy. Be safe.
